In the month of June, Yuma, Arizona is a place in the U.S. which has sunshine more than 97% of the time from sunrise to sunset. This high percentage of sunshine is the percentage of time between sunrise and sunset that sun actually reaches the earth's surface. All in all, Arizona is a state with very comfortable temperatures, a good deal of dry weather (getting only 12 inches of rain a year), and many days of clear skies (staying sunny 87 percent of the time).

Excuse me, but the question was the sunniest STATE, not city or region. The sunniest state is California and the sunniest city is Yuma. No one is perfect, but these questions are supposed to be proof read. I already knew the answer but googled it after my answer was marked incorrect, and, of course, it's California. That's really pathetic. Smh

Left northern Minnesota in early June. It had snowed 3 weeks earlier. Moved to Arizona and it was 117 degrees. Good opportunities to make money, but I'll be moving back before summer comes around again lol. In all honesty you get used to it in a couple weeks, but I miss clean air, fishing, drinking tap water, carpet, and not taking 2 hours to drive 10 miles due to 8 million people in one city. Just not for me.
