What is Kenya?
Many people, especially in the USA and Europe, confuse the names of capitals and countries in Africa. Anyway, if you at least were good at geography at school, you should know the right answer to this question.
Kenya is a country in Africa. Its territory lies on the equator and overlies the East African Rift covering a large and varied terrain that extends roughly from Lake Victoria to Lake Turkana.The official name of the country is the Republic of Kenya.The capital and largest city is Nairobi. Mombasa is the second largest city.

The East African Rift System (EARS) is one the geologic wonders of the world. It is where the earth's tectonic forces for over 200 million years are creating new plates by splitting apart old ones. A rift Is a fracture in the earth's surface that widens over time. It is an elongated basin bounded by opposed steeply dipping normal faults. Geologists are still debating exactly how rifting comes about. The process is so well displayed in East Africa through Ethiopia-Kenya-Uganda-Tanzania. The mountain is Mt. Kilimanjaro and it is in Tanzania NOT Kenya... I know, I climbed it...
