What is the best-selling and the cheapest mobile phone of all time?

The biggest-selling handset of all time was the dirt-cheap Nokia 1100, launched in 2003, with over 250m sales. At a time when cell phones began offering colour screens and cameras, the stripped-down Nokia was the perfect unit for budget users, especially those in developing or underdeveloped countries. Secondhand 1100 handsets were briefly sold for over $10,000 following a rumour that they could be used to hack online money transfers.

I got lucky and guessed it correctly as my first cell phone was a Nokia 1600. It was extremely basic and worked great.

I had a Nokia bag phone back when there were a lot fewer towers. It could reach out and find them far better than the smaller phones of that time. I think these phones are called boat anchors now because they were big and heavy.
