Annapolis is the capital of the state of Maryland. Approximately 40 thousand people live there nowadays. Maryland State House, which was built in 1772, is the oldest state capitol in continuous legislative use in the USA. You can see the famous building in the picture:

This charming place is home to more surviving colonial buildings than any other U.S. city. Annapolis' downtown is a registered National Historic Landmark. Tens of 18th-century constructions may be found there.
