What is the capital of Wyoming?
Cheyenne is the capital of Wyoming, its most populous city and the county seat of the Laramie County. Over 60 thousand people live in Cheyenne. 20% of Cheyenne's workers are busy in governmental industry, while coal mining remains the most profitable industry of the city.
Cheyenne was established in 1867 as a supply depot and grew incredibly fast after it. By the end of the first year the population had increased from 600 to 4 thousand people. That's where the city's nickname Magic City of the Plain comes from.
