Donatella Francesca Versace (born 2 May 1955) is an Italian fashion designer and current vice president of the Versace Group, as well as its chief designer. She owns a 20% share of the business. During the 1980s, Donatella's brother, Gianni Versace, launched a perfume dedicated to her called Blonde, and her own diffusion label called Versus. Versace took over the label's design after her brother's death.

In the mid-1970s, Donatella followed her older brother, Giovanni ("Gianni"), to pursue knitwear design in Florence, Italy. She had planned to work for her brother in the public relations department, but was more valuable to Gianni as a "muse and critic", according to her during an interview with Vogue. Melissa Brooks, You make a lot of incorrect, baseless assumptions. The motivation for murder is not certain. “The world would know two things after the murder of Gianni Versace,” former FBI criminal profiler Candice DeLong told ABC News. “One, they would know who Versace was. And two, they would know his killer was Andrew Cunanan. That's what Andrew wanted. ‘Look at me. I can get to anyone.’” Cunanan was on a murder spree, killing the famous and wealthy. Versace and he were not lovers. Don't go smearing reputations and spreading misinformation through your guesswork.

There's a cable show (used to be Spike now Paramount) about to come out soon with a story about the assassination of Giavanni Versace. I remember when that happened and the killer (Andrew Cunanan) kept running for about a week and kept killing people and put a real scare into people.
