In 1983, "Fraggle Rock" debuted. A Jim Henson creation, "Fraggle Rock" sought to teach children how to deal with real world conflicts via the Fraggles and the other species in and around Fraggle Rock. The showed aired for 5 seasons, and there were 96 episodes.

On the show, there are various types of species. The Fraggles and the Doozers live inside Fraggle Rock. Fraggles are different from each other, though all are bright colors. Doozers are all dull green. With 30 minute work weeks, Fraggles have plenty of time to pursue personal interests or discuss life dilemmas with their diety (a garbage heap named Majory). Doozers, conversly, work for the sake of working. Being that Fraggles can be destructive, the Doozers have plenty of work to do. They are undoubtedly the backbone of the Fraggle Rock community.

A family of Gorgs live outside of Fraggle Rock. They are much larger creatures who despise Fraggles. Respectfully, Fraggles steal radishes from them, and the Gorgs need radishes for their anti-vanishing cream. One species needs a food source; the other is trying not to disappear. Lots of conflict!

Beyond the Gorgs, there are the silly creatures who live in what Fraggles call "out space". The creatures are humans.

"Fraggle Rock" was created to show complex relations with species learning how to live with each other. It was designed to only have 5 seasons; therefore, when it went off the air, it was not due to ratings but due to the story ending.
