What is the name of the D.A. who Perry Mason defeated in court almost every week during the 1957 - 1966 TV show, Perry Mason?
In the popular TV series, Perry Mason, that ran for nine years (1957- 1966), defense attorney Perry Mason defended hundreds of falsely accused criminal clients. In the long-running courtroom drama, Mason was able to clear the person he represented usually by finding the real criminal in court. Many guilty individuals would confess on the witness stand.
Mason was very well assisted by investigator Paul Drake and secretary Della Street. The three (Mason, Drake, and Street) were a continual pain in the side of District Attorney Hamilton Burger. He was the fictional Los Angeles County District Attorney (D.A.); no matter how hard he tried Perry Mason always seemed to get the upper hand (beat him).

George Oliver Prince, you would think after a few cases, he would have just asked Perry if his client was guilty. But then Perry Mason did lose three cases over time.

I remember the theme music far better than I remember the episodes. I was a kid. Lawyer shows did not interest me.

My maternal grandfather never missed an episode. I have never seen one. I deduced the answer by trying to remember what kinds of names were used for main characters during the time the program aired.
