Rich Uncle Pennybags serves as a mascot of the Monopoly game. He was on the cover of the very first edition of the game and didn't change much since those times: Rich Uncle Pennybags remained a round old man in a top hat and, of course, with a mustache.

I played Monopoly with my sister a few times when we were kids. When I reached high school I thought, as other have said, the game just took too long, so I never played it again. I never knew that the character had a name, so thinking that Parker and Monopoly were wrong, i went to the double chance, first choosing Moneybags.

I have never played this game that hasn't lasted hours. I just don't enjoy a game that is that time consuming. Unless it's poker:)

Remembered a Milton from long ago but Pennybags was also familiar. I would have chosen Milton Pennybags it that choice was available. Haven't played Monopoly since I was a tween - and that was a very long time ago.......
