The location is now better recognized as the place where the phenomenal movie "Dirty Dancing" was set and directed by Emile Ardolino.

The movie "Dirty Dancing" transported viewers back to a simpler time when summers were spent at rural family resorts (the Kellerman's Resort), complete with dance lessons and bingo nights. "Dirty Dancing" which starred Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey, made the power of dance and music great tools for people to use to surmount any series of formidable life obstacles.

O come on...in the movie the resort was called Kellerman's Resort; the resort where the filming took place was the Mountain Lake Lodge.

Treffer 1, Agreed. I think Patrick Swayze was an excellent actor, great looking, great Martial Artist & dancer as well too. His background in dance was seen in his Martial Arts which make it better. He was a Buddhist for 6 years. I remember that in his series he was in (he's dying unfortunately) he picked up a guy with one arm & ran several yards which was impressive. I'll never forget that. I also loved his Southern accent too. He was an incredible man.

I see lots of discussion centered upon Kellerman's Resort and Mountain Lake Lodge. In order to mitigate the problem somewhat, I resorted to using the double chance. I preferred the Mountain Lake Lodge, so I started with that. When that wasn't accepted, I switched to Kellerman's Resort, which I was partially prepared to use because the question itself refers to "the name of the resort".
