What is the oldest baseball stadium in the United States to still host professional baseball?

Rickwood Field, located on the west side of Birmingham, AL, was built and hosted it's first game in 1910. It was home to the Birmingham Barons and the Birmingham Black Barons of the Negro League. Also, in it's early years, it hosted The Auburn/Alabama Iron Bowl Football game.

The Barons left the outdated Rickwood Field in the late 80's for the suburbs of Birmingham to the Hoover Metropolitan Stadium. Rickwood was revitalized and every year it hosts one professional baseball game, "The Rickwood Classic" where the Barons and their opponent wear throwback uniforms and umpires wear button down shirts with bow-ties as if they were calling a game in the 1910's.

What is the Oldest Baseball Stadium? The answer lies in how you ask the question. If the question is asked, what the oldest baseball stadium in major league baseball, you might shout FENWAY PARK. Yet others may say that Forbes Field was the first baseball stadium built. If the questioned, however is, what is the oldest continually used baseball park, then the answer is a bit different. Labatt Park is the "oldest continually operating baseball grounds in the world". It has a history dating back to 1877 and since December 31, 1936 the park has been owned by the City of London, Ontario, Canada. Formally Tecumseh Park, 1877-1936, it is a baseball stadium near the Thames River. But American Baseball is my subject and the Oldest MLB Baseball Stadium in the USA is Fenway Park. Fenway Park has been the home field for the Boston Red Soxs since it opened in 1912 and is the oldest Baseball Stadium currently in use.

Although not always by design the changes have resulted in some unique and quirky features. Features like “The Triangle”, “Pesky’s Pole” and the famous Green Monster. The Red Sox have sold out every home game since May 15, 2003. The oldest baseball park has sold out 456 consecutive games, breaking Major League Baseball records. As of July 17, 2012, the Red Sox has had 760 consecutive sellouts making this old baseball park the most successful in baseball. That streak was finally broken in 2013 but it still remains one of the hottest tickets in town.
