What is the only official language of Mozambique?
The only official language of Mozambique is Portuguese, which is spoken mostly as a second language by about 50% of its population; it is a member of the "Community of Portuguese Language Countries." Swahili, Makhuwa, and Sena are a few of the common native languages spoken by its people.

I knew this because African countries normally take the language of their colonizers. In Kenya we speak the Queens English. Good trivia.

Mozambique and Angola were Portugal’s colonies and gained independence after the so called “Carnation Revolution” in Portugal 1974. Friends of mine worked in Mozambique in 1980’s.
