What is the singular of lice?
The singular of lice is louse.
Note from biology: Lice, together with 5 thousand species of wingless insects, belong to the order Phthiraptera. Lice are parasites, who always choose warm-blooded hosts, so they can dwell and feed in the hair of any mammal or bird (they only stay away from monotremes, pangolins, bats and cetaceans).
Disgusting, isn't it?
