The high school that I attended had a track running around the football field. The 100 yard race portion of the track ran parallel to the football field.

Why the nasty attitude?
Many in the US have "learned the metric system."
"Learning" the metric system and using it universally are two very different things.
Besides, metrics are used all over the US in many fields.
Metrics are used extensively in fields such as science, medicine, electronics, automobile production and repair, the military, and international affairs.
In fact, the U.S. Army and Marine Corps adopted the metric system in 1957, as the basis for their weapons and equipment. That was eight years ahead of when Great Britain began adopting the metric system in 1965!
Even soft drinks are sold here in one and 2 liter bottles!
It helps to know what you're talking about before making judgments.
BTW, congratulations on being clever enough to recognize the "even number of yards" proving you know nothing about American football if that's how you had to divine the correct answer. SMH

What does it matter? It is clearly the wrong answer on many levels.
