What is the sum of all the numbers on a roulette wheel?

Roulette is a casino game named after the French word meaning little wheel. In the game, players may choose to place bets on either a single number or a range of numbers, the colors red or black, or whether the number is odd or even. To determine the winning number and color, a croupier spins a wheel in one direction, then spins a ball in the opposite direction around a tilted circular track running around the circumference of the wheel. The ball eventually loses momentum and falls onto the wheel and into one of the colored and numbered pockets on the wheel.

There are 38 numbers (00, 0, 1-36) on an American roulette wheel and there are 37 numbers (0, 1-36) on a French roulette wheel. The numbers on either wheel adds up to 666.

Mathematical formula for sum of consecutive numbers from 1 to N is (N squared plus N) divided by 2 36 squared is 1296 plus 36 equals 1332 1332 divided by 2 equals 666 Formula also works for summing the total number on a set of 15 pool balls numbered 1 to 15, Try it.

Button, actually according to Kabala I'm told a Jewish puzzle game to keep Romans out of the conversation it was the Roman Emporer of that time period. I've Also heard another copy of an old bible was found that in Kabala an earlier Roman Emporer was listed.. The Romans had taken over the area before the birth of Jesus.. so it makes sense to me

How I figured it: excluding the zeroes, there are 36 numbers on the wheel, numbered 1 through 36. 1+ 36 = 37, 2+35 = 37, and so on thru 18+19, making the average value of all the numbers 18.5. 36 x 18.5 = 666.

I took 10 sets of numbers added them up then visually went around the wheel when I passed 550 with one section remaining ...I went to the closest number...666. Educated guess at best.
