What middle east city was incorporated into the Ottoman Empire in 1516?
The Ottoman Empire came into existence as a power house in Euro Asia and virtual the world in 1299. Its expansion and peak lasted from 1453 - 1556.
At the time of its rise to its peak, it extended its wing power and capture of cities rapidly with authoritarian control and vast wars fought and won through centuries. It rapidly gained control of the Middle East and its spread of culture and religion served different purposes. It eventually suffered military defeats in the early 18th century between (1717 - 1739), this inevitably led to its demise.
However centuries before its fall, it established and incorporated Aleppo in 1516 as one of its cities. Aleppo was soon made the capital of a province comprising northern Syria and parts of southern Anatolia.
