Dodgers Stadium is located in a narrow L-shaped canyon, known as Chavez Ravine, which is partially within the Elysian Park neighborhood in Los Angeles, Ca.

It opened 54 years ago on 10 April 1962, making it the third oldest park behind only Fenway Park and Wrigley Field respectively and is currently the largest stadium by seat capacity.

This stadium was also the home of the Los Angeles Angels (now known as the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim) from 1962 to 1965. To avoid constantly having to refer to their intercity rivals, the Angels refer to the stadium as Chavez Ravine Stadium (or just "Chavez Ravine").
