What number comes next in this sequence: 3, 6, 10, 20, 24
Are you attentive enough? It is quite easy if you notice that they're pairs of doubled numbers. So in order to get the answer you have to double the last number in the pair. 24 x 2 = 48!
What are your thoughts on this subject?

A logical and mathematical mind sees the relational connection immediately.

Ben Do not call stupid if you CANNOT undwerstand math. I do not call peop[le like you and Betty Supid as you call your self. You just cannot do quantitative logic. So simple, I see it at a glance. Double 3 =6 + 4 =10, double 10 =20 + 4=24, double 24 =48. Bennis It makes all math sense . no more examples is needed. Quite clear and too easy for any one who understand Math.

Andrew Smith it easier this way. (3,6) (10,20)(24,..). Everything in the parentheses is a double. The second number is the double of the first.

This was EXTREMELY easy. multiply by 2, add 4, repeat. It's the very definition of logical.

Poor explanation, makes no sense. Needs more examples to justify the answer.

24 comes from 20+4. Sequence: *2, +4, *2, +4, *2

Double the 3 = 6, 6 to 10 = plus 4, double 10 = 20, 20 to 24 = + 4, Double 24 = 48, 48 to 52 = plus 4, etc.........................

Not sure I grasp the explanation. 2*6=12, not 10.

Two pair is not enough to establish a pattern.

May be. Than the last doubled number should be 40

Explanation is very poor. "It is quite easy if you notice that they're pairs of doubled numbers". All very well, but it doesn't explain what the sequence is for the pairs. It should be...double, add 4, double, add 4....so 52 and 104 would be the next numbers after 48..

Robert Wayman, no it's not wrong. It was asked about the next number after 24, and that is 48.

Yvonne Mitchell, no it's not wrong. Only because you can't do math doesn't make the answer wrong
