What opening theme song was used during the debut season of the animated TV show The Flintstones?

The opening and closing theme song used during the first two seasons was called "Rise and Shine", a lively instrumental underscore accompanying Fred on his drive home from work. The tune resembled "The Bugs Bunny Overture (This Is It!)", the theme song used the entire time that The Bugs Bunny Show was televised.

Starting with the Flintstones in season 3, episode 3 ("Barney the Invisible"), the opening and closing theme song was the popular vocal "Meet the Flintstones". This version was recorded with a 22 piece jazz band, and a five voice singing group called the Skip Jacks.

Some credit for the melody to "Meet the Flintstones" was given to Beethoven. This melody was in part derived from section 'B' of Beethoven's Piano Sonata No. 17.

While I know that Meet the Flintstones was the regular theme song for the years I watched it, I calculated which of the other choices made sense and Rise and Shine it was!

Missed it. Was fairly certain it wasn’t Meet the Flintstones, but hadn’t a clue what, so used the one it ran with during the time I watched it.

A great cartoon series - as good now as when it first came out. How it was replaced as the most popular by the Simpsons baffles me - that show is a complete load of rubbish.
