How much of the brain do humans actually use? Some people still believed in the 10% brain myth. But, we might be surprised to learn that human beings use virtually every part of their brains. Moreover, over the course of an average day, humans use 100 % or nearly 100% of their brains.

Today, at this point in time, medical researchers who have studied the brain with magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technology. They have found that there are no dormant parts of the brain. In fact, most of the brain in a human being is active almost all of the time even when a person is sleeping.

The brain uses up an incredible 20% of the body's resources in terms of oxygen and glucose despite making up only 2 percent of the human body in weight. Now, the notion that large parts of the brain remain unused, and could subsequently be activated, truly rests basically in common folklore and not in proven science.
