NASA scientists announced in 2015 the discovery of a large saline ocean on Ganymede, the largest of Jupiter's moons. Using the Hubble Space telescope, they have determined that the saltwater ocean on Ganymede is up to 60 miles deep - around 10 times the depth of Earth's ocean, and containing up to 39 times the quantity of water on Earth, according to Nasa Scientist Joachim Saur. "The Solar System is looking like a real soggy place" announced NASA director of Planetary Science, Jim Green.

Ganymede is the largest of Jupiter's moons, and is larger than the planet Mercury, nearing the size of Mars.

In order of having the most water, here are the top seven planetary objects scientists believe to contain water: Ganymede, Titan, Callisto, Triton, Pluto, Europa, Earth.
