What point on the surface of the Earth is farthest from the Earth's center?
While not even close to being the highest mountain and a solid 2,580 m lower in elevation above sea-level than the Earth's highest mountain, Mt. Everest, Chimborazo lies almost directly on the Equator. Since the Earth itself is not a sphere, but an oblate spheroid (the phenomenon of rotation), the summit of this mountain is about 6,384.4 km from the center of the Earth!
What are your thoughts on this subject?

Alireza Mohtashami, it might confuse you because it's deep underneath the volcano but above the center of the Earth!

I figured that due to the Equatorial Bulge of the Earth the right answer.

I figured it was somewhere along the equator since it is further than the polar regions.Earth is not a round ball,but a spheroid where the equator bulges out further than the two poles.I live near an area named Chimoraza,but not this one.
