What ruler nailed turbans onto the heads of visiting messengers when they refused to remove them?

Turkish messengers being given an audience with Vlad Dracula were told to remove their turbans in his presence. The messengers refused to remove their head gear in accordance with their ancient customs.Vlad saying that he wanted to help strengthen their custom had the turbans nailed to their heads so that the couldn't be removed. Vlad had a hatred of the Turks because he and his brother had been held hostage by them as boys.

Vlad Dracula from what is Romania today, is the real life person that the fictional character, Count Dracula was derived from.

Dracula also know as Vlad the Impaler was second son of Vlad Dracul who was a previous ruler of Wallachia.

The name is VLAD TEPES the Impaler who was Voevode of Transylvania and known as prince Dracul (meaning "the son of dragon"). He spent his youth in Konstantinopole as a hostage, as guarantee for the treaty his father signed with the Sultan, where he learned a lot of the Turkish ways. When the Turks tried to invade Europe, they had to go through Transylvania. They sent an advance body army of 20.000 followed by hundreds of thousands of soldiers. VLAD managed to to kill or take prisoners all of them and then impale them all ( something he learned from the Turks ) on either side, miles and miles of it, of the way the main Turkish army was going to pass. When the army started walking through the road with the impaled compatriots, started panicking and in the they all run away. Victory for VLAD!
