I don't agree. None of his Foundation books made it to movie status. It stands to reason that more people would have heard of I, Robot than Foundation.

Back when Asimov was alive, his most famous specific work was the foundation epic. However, his influence today is much more connected to the robot series. His 3 laws of robotics are still quoted in many modern works. Data in Star Trek had a positronic brain, a phrase coined by Asimov.
