At the age of 15, Paul McCartney wrote the song "When I'm 64", which was recorded by the Beatles. It was a song about a man who wanted to know if his loved one would still love him as he grew older.

"When I'm 64" finally got released in 1967 on the famous "Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band".

The group was called the Beatles and consisted of Paul McCartney, John Lennon, George Harrison and Ringo Starr. It was the most influential rock group of all time and Lennon and McCartney were recognized as the most successful song writing team in history.

I'll tell you a little story about that song. While working at Squaw Valley in the Winter of '68-'69 I was running one of the ski lifts high in the Sierras one morning when all at once what to my wondering ears should I hear, but the voices of children filling my ears with the strains of a beautiful song. It was the junior ski racers out '' boot packing'' a course. The surface must be firm to ski on it. I immediately recognized the tune. It was ''When I'm 64''. Their sweet young voices gave the song more meaning that has stayed with me to this day. " Will you still need me, will you still feed me, when I'm 64 ?

64 is not that really that old compare to 75 or 85 years old. But the song has a meaning to it. He is the most prolific song writer of the 4 lad of Liverpool and the most good looking too. His songs are quite different from George and John. I like eleonor Rigby, penny lane, hey Jude etc. the list goes on and on 'til the break of dawn. What a fantastic group they are in the 60s.
