What song was sung at the end of Kubrick's Full Metal Jacket?
The Marines march toward their camp, singing the "Mickey Mouse March". Joker states that despite being "in a world of shit", he is glad to be alive and no longer afraid.
By choosing to have the troops sing the Mickey Mouse Club theme song as they march silhouetted by flaming destruction, Kubrick ties three themes together:
The journey from boy to man.
Camaraderie and the solidification of a group.
Mickey Mouse is a symbol for America.
The lyrics are upbeat, inviting people around the world to join a club. The soldiers singing this as they march across a conquered land in order to eradicate communism and forcibly bring freedom make those lyrics ironic.

Actually When the Credits Roll it’s Brian Jones’s “ Paint It Black” the use of the Sitar is what makes it “ Brian’s Song”.

The only logical choice (WSOP) is ironically illogical, just as the correct answer is ironic, which is the point. I couldn't help but think, in addition to Steve's explanation, that it spoke to some of the "Mickey Mouse" things military service requires one periodically to endure. I am a 20 year veteran of the Army.
