A crore is a unit in the Indian numbering system equal to ten million (10,000,000). It is widely used in Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and Nepal, and is written in these regions as 1,00,00,000 with the local style of digit group separators. One crore is also equal to a hundred (100) lakh (a lakh is equal to one hundred thousand and is written as 1,00,000).
Today in India, large amounts of money are often written in terms of crores. For example, 150,000,000 (one hundred fifty million) may be written as 'fifteen crore rupees' or '₹15 crore' or 'Rs 15 crore'.

Julie Allen, It's been transliterated into English so I think it's legitimate. As one commenter says though, "Is it trivia?"
Maybe it's intended to be a counterbalance to all of the Americentric questions.
