President Donald Trump made his first foreign trip as the Chief Executive from May 20-27. His first stop was in Saudi Arabia.

The visit to Saudi Arabia was highly controversial in the United States considering Mr. Trumps stances and criticisms against Islam. However, Trump met with King Salman and Muslim leaders at the Riyadh Summit and took a softer approach to expressing his feelings about Islam. He encouraged a joint-effort to combat Islamic Extremism. He signed a $110 billion arms deal with Saudi Arabia, the largest in world history and was honored with the Collar of Abdulaziz Al Saud, his first foreign order. The President, along with First Lady Melania Trump, visited the National Museum of Saudi Arabia.

After his three-day stay, he spent the next two days in Israel, meeting with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and reaffirming his support for peace in the Middle East. Trump then became the first sitting U.S. President to visit the Western Wall (also known at the Wailing Wall). The Western Wall is considered holy due to its connection to the Temple Mount.
