Steven Schuttel, Cyndi Lauer is not gay. She has been married to American actor, David Thornton since 1991. One does not have to be gay to be an advocate for the LGBTQ community, any more than you need to be black to back the BLM movement or be a woman to be a Feminist or to be pro-choice. All that is necessary is to be truly human and open up yourself to the struggles of others, whether those issues have a direct bearing on your own life or not! It's easy if you have empathy and decency. You need to rethink your idea about what it means to be an activist.
