What was the name of Captain Archer's dog in the U.S. TV series "Star Trek: Enterprise"?
The name of Captain Archer's dog on the 2001 - 2005 U.S. TV series "Star Trek: Enterprise" was Porthos. Captain Jonathan Archer (Scott Bakula) and his pet dog Porthos (an English Beagle) were seen in Season 1. A male beagle named Prada played Porthos.
In one heartfelt episode while Archer spent a whole night worrying about the relations between the United Federation of Planets and the Kreetassans, he also had to worry about and comfort his dog (Porthos) who was very ill. Dr. Phlox (John Billingsley), the chief medical officer aboard the starship Enterprise, used his skills and saved the life of Archer's dog.
Porthos had been Archer's faithful companion since the age of six weeks, and had remained so for the duration of Archer's 10-year assignment as captain of Enterprise.
