The name of Mike Nelson's boat on the 1958 - 1961 U.S. TV drama series "Sea Hunt' was the Argonaut.

Mike Nelson (Lloyd Bridges) was a free-lance scuba diver. He had various underwater adventures in different water locations mostly related to the United States. Nelson was a former U.S. Navy frogman. He left the service about four years before the series began.

He was presented as a well-known expert on diving and was often called on to handle difficult or dangerous projects. While traveling on his boat the Argonaut, Nelson outmaneuvered villains, salvaged everything from a bicycle to a nuclear missile, rescued many people lost at sea.

In the pilot episode, Mike rescued a downed Navy pilot from a sunken jet. He was seen smartly working from the Argonaut. No dialogue was provided for the underwater film sequences. Bridges was then required to provide voice-over narration for the scuba scenes. Nelson also educated non-diving individuals and the viewing audience about various aspects of (1) diving from his boat or any watercraft and (2) exploring a vast underwater world.
