On the 1955-56 TV sitcom "The Honeymooners", Ralph Kramden (Jackie Gleason) and Ed Norton (Art Carney) break up the monotony of their off work home lives by joining the Hurricanes Bowling Team at the Acme Alley in Brooklyn, New York.

When the two men (Ralph and Ed) are not bowling, Ralph as a New York City bus driver is dreaming of a better life. With his eccentric good friend, Ed (a sewer worker), he constantly tries crackpot schemes to strike it rich. while he is working on schemes, his exasperated wife, Alice (Audrey Meadows), is always there to keep him grounded to the earth or to pick him up if his spirit is down. Notwithstanding the fact that they infrequently fight, even dunderhead Ralph knows that Alice is the greatest thing to happen to Ralph. Plus Ralph is the one person that his wife can truly appreciate and adore.
