When was the original apple computer made?

The original Apple Computer, also known retroactively as the Apple I, or Apple-1, was released by the Apple Computer Company (now Apple Inc.) in 1976. They were designed and hand-built by Steve Wozniak. Wozniak's friend Steve Jobs had the idea of selling the computer. The Apple I was Apple's first product, and to finance its creation, Jobs sold his only means of transportation, a VW Microbus, and Wozniak sold his HP-65 calculator for $500. It was demonstrated in July 1976 at the Homebrew Computer Club in Palo Alto, California.

I can remember working on an 8086 IBM running dos v 3.0 when I was about 20 (circa 1982) , I also recall Sinclair zx machines ( home built) . There was no hard drives in these machines and Ram capacity was only a few megs at best. My how time flies, these machines were so basic ( pardon the pun) compared even to phones we have today.

About that time I bought one for a colleague on a trip to California at a Radio Shack. I was a crew chief on a C130. Just as well as it was huge in its box with a full size terminal. Can’t remember exactly but it was just over $1000
