Where in the U.S. is the Annual Hangout Oyster Cook-Off & Craft Beer Weekend held?

Dozens of restaurant chefs, private chefs, and individuals from around the U.S. Gulf Coast area compete annually for the best oyster categories in the one-day outdoor culinary event called the Annual Hangout Oyster Cook-Off & Craft Beer Weekend, which is held in Gulf Shores, Alabama.

Typically, hundreds of people show up for this cook-off and beer festival. Also, more than 60 boutique and craft beers are normally served up by breweries from around Alabama inclduing Oskar Blues, Lagunitas, Good People Brewing, Straight to Ale, Cahaba Brewing, Fairhope Brewing, and many more.

Besides good food and drink, people do truly enjoy themselves at the festival. They learn about some of the key implications on how and why people eat oysters or drink craft beers.
