Where was the last World War II battle in Europe in 1945?
Victory in Europe Day, VE Day is a day celebrating the formal acceptance by the Allies of Germany's unconditional surrender of its armed forces on the 8 May 1945. The act of Germany's unconditional surrender of its armed forces was signed on 7 May in Reims, France and on 8 May in Berlin, Germany.
Nevertheless, fighting continued in four places after VE Day. These places were on the Netherlands’ Island of Texel, Prague in Czechoslovakia, Poljana in Slovenia, and Odžak situated in Northern Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Battle of Odžak was the last WWII battle in Europe. The battle began on 19 April 1945 and lasted until 25 May 1945. This was 17 days after the end of the war in Europe.
The combatants were Ustashe commanded by Petar Rajkovačić and the Yugoslav Partisans commanded by Miloš Zekić. The battle took place in the Bosnian town of Odžak. The Ustashe were a Croatian fascist organization. It was active, as one organization, between 1929 and 1945. Its members murdered hundreds of thousands of Serbs, Jews, and Roma as well as political dissidents in Yugoslavia during WWII.

The Battle of Odžak was suppressed in the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. The only news about the battle came out on 1 June 1975 in a Serbian newspaper NIN.
