Where was the majority of the American sitcom "Friends" filmed?
'Friends', starring Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt Leblanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer, is a sitcom about six friends in their 20s and 30s who live in Manhattan, New York City. Yet, nearly every episode was filmed at Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank, California.
Created by David Crane and Marta Kauffman, the show aired on NBC from September 22, 1994, to May 6, 2004, for a total of ten series. The first episode sees Rachel Green (Aniston) fleeing from her wedding day when she bumps into her childhood friend, Monica Geller (Cox). Rachel moves into Monica's flat and takes up a job at the local coffee shop, Central Perk where Monica introduces Rachel to her group of friends: Phoebe Buffay (Kudrow), Joey Tribbiani (Leblanc), Chandler Bing (Perry) and Monica's older brother Ross Geller (Schwimmer).
The show humorously depicted the characters' lives, career problems and relationship issues, particularly Rachel and Ross' on and off love affair, until its final episode on 6th May 2004. Each season reached the top 10 television season ratings and the final episode was the most-watched episode of the 2000s. As of 2020, it is the 5th most-watched series finale in America.
