As a comic book artist Tim typically created artwork (drawings) on comic book paper approximately 11" x 17" in size. Tim's technique included the use of wash and charcoal pencil.

Usually, Tim Sale's drawings were black, gray, and white because he was colorblind. There is only a limited number of paintings by Sale that have any color.
