Which award winning comic book artist created the paintings that belonged to painter Isaac Mendez on the U.S. TV science fiction series "Heroes"?
The award winning comic book artist who created the paintings that belonged to painter Isaac Mendez (Santiago Cabrera) on the U.S. TV science fiction series "Heroes" was Tim Sale. As a comic book artist Tim typically created artwork (drawings) on comic book paper approximately 11" x 17" in size. Tim's technique included the use of wash and charcoal pencil.
Usually, Tim Sale's drawings were black, gray, and white because he was colorblind. There is only a limited number of paintings by Sale that have any color. Also, for the TV series, Santiago Cabrera (Isaac) influenced Sale to create some of the artwork in the style of Francisco Goya's Black Paintings. Additionally, Tim Sale with support from artist Alex Maleev worked on the artwork used by Isaac Mendez in "Heroes" for his meta-fictional comic book series, "9th Wonders!".
