Which 'Beatles' band member never appeared on the TV show "Saturday Night Live"?
John Lennon (John Winston Ono Lennon MBE) was born in October 1940 and lived until December 1980. He was the 'Beatles' band member who never appeared on the 1975 to date, celebrity hosted and award-winning ensemble cast, TV show "Saturday Night Live", performing comedic sketches, satirical news and digital shorts, alongside popular musical acts. Lennon was an English singer, songwriter, and peace activist who gained worldwide fame as the founder, co-lead vocalist, and rhythm guitarist of the 'Beatles'.
Lennon was an extremely busy person. In 1975, he was given another chance at raising a son. He put his musical career on hold. He became a good father to Sean Lennon. In December 1980, he died when he was killed by a gunshot in New York, NY by Mark David Chapman, a psychotic.
Lennon told his fans worldwide that it wasn't hard to understand him or his music. He didn't see himself or his world in narrow terms. He said, "I think of my songs as snapshots of what I'm thinking and feeling at the moment of composition." He stated that one quality which made him a true artist was the demand that he provide complete emotional and intellectual honesty in his work. From his earliest years, he had no interest in disguising what he had to say to bring it into conformity with what anyone else thought his ideas should be, or even with points of view he may have felt at one time himself. "I (Lennon) must be true to the emotion that has given birth to my song(s), that is enough."
