Snagglepuss is a Hanna-Barbera cartoon character debuted in prototype form in 1959 and established as a studio regular by 1962. This catchphrase has been bugging me for over a month. Now I know who said it. I knew it was a cat of some kind and was Hanna Barbarra. Freaked me out! Such a random question that I've been trying to figure out! Wierd!

I loved the Hanna-Barera cartoons. My ma would let my brother and I watch cartoons on Saturday mornings as long as we didn't wake her and dad up. Those were great times.

I don't know why cartoon characters should be important enough to remember from over sixty years ago, but among the pantheon, I definitely remember Snagglepuss. He was pink even. I didn't think of the link at the time, but in 1971, when my then-new wife brought home our first bird (out of over a hundred different birds eventually), a budgie, I promptly named him Murgatroyd.
