While it is true China borders 14 other countries, Russia also borders 14 other countries. They are: Norway and Finland, Estonia and Latvia, Lithuania and Poland (bordering Kaliningrad enclave), Belarus and Ukraine, Georgia and Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Mongolia, North Korea and China, for a total of 14 land neighbors. Who vetted this question?

Kent Brashear, it just means that the user who contributed this question is 1) British, 2) from a British English-using member of the Commonwealth such as Australia, or 3) learned British English as a second language. As an OVERWHELMING number of questions on this site use American English and concern US States, US presidents, US cars, US pop culture, US history, etc. ad infinitum, and as the vast majority of comments are left by Americans, QuizzClub certainly does not look "British or formerly under UK control", whatever that last may mean.

You did not say Russian federation, you said Russia. So Ukraine and Belarus would need to be included as countries bordering russia.

williamrlaughlin, I thought the same thing. Although I did not check a map, it seemed that Poland must border on Russia.
