Which English actress stars as Queen Victoria in TV drama "Victoria"?

Jenna-Louise Coleman (born 27 April 1986) is an English actress. She is known for her roles as Jasmine Thomas in the ITV soap opera "Emmerdale", Clara Oswald in the BBC series "Doctor Who", Queen Victoria in the ITV drama "Victoria" and Joanna Lindsay in the BBC series "The Cry".

In 2016 Coleman starred in ITV's eight-part drama following the reign of the British monarch and Empress of India, Queen Victoria. The actress confessed that she was not totally informed about Victorian history, but researched the role. When interviewed for BBC Radio 4's Woman's Hour, Coleman expressed her admiration for the monarch. She argues that this role meant she was able to break out of her supposed 'box' as a northern working-class character that "Emmerdale" put her in.

No mention of the fact that one of the reasons she got the role was her size. Queen Victoria was only 5’ tall and the BBC wanted a petite actress for the role. She was marvellous in the role and I love the series.

Richard D. Boyle, Billie is actually a fairly accomplished actress and has won an Olivier. She is also one of the best Companions, although Sarah Jane, Leela (my favorite) & Amy are way up there. Clara was, of course, a spectacular Companion--observing that the TARDIS is smaller on the outside.

Richard D. Boyle, An excellent companion for the 10th Doctor who is one of my favourite Doctor Who's my other two are Patrick Troughton and Jon Pertwee. BP has played in Mansfield Park too I think plus a series where she was an Escort. Jenna played the Victoria role well.
