Which is the purest form of water?
Distilled water is water that has been heated to the boiling point so that impurities are separated from the water, which itself becomes vapor or steam. Steam is then condensed back into pure liquid form. The impurities remain as residue and are removed. Pure Water Distillation Systems remove waterborne biological contaminants such as bacteria, viruses, organic and inorganic chemicals, heavy metals, volatile gases, cysts and other contaminants.
Distilled water contains virtually no solids, minerals or trace elements. Steam distilled water is the standard by which all other waters are measured.

Beg to differ. Sure, in large cities rainwater is far from pure. But on a Pacific Atoll there is nothing purer than rainwater. The answer is simply wrong..

iqbalseth, distilled is the correct answer as it is the closest to containing only hydrogen and oxygen atoms. Rain water may be the cleanest in some places, but it is not the purest.

I remember using distilled bottled water to mix in the baby formula in the 80s.

rain water has impurities in it because it carries all the dust particles in the air with it. Distilled water is the purest.

I worked in a hospital pharmacy once. My first ever job was to catch the distilled water into sterile bottles to give to the patients intravenously so we had to be totally dressed in sterile equipment gown mask sterile gloves etc. And worked in a sterile cabinet with air filters.

I like it when they distill the alcohol fromthe water. Throw away the water and drink the rest.

Unlike it's nearest rival, rainwater, distilled water contains no impurities due to it not being exposed to a contaminated atmosphere, as is the case with rainwater.

I thought the purest water was in a golden chamber in a mountain in Japan and is so pure it can drain the nutrients from your hair.
