Sunny (born June 11, 2012) was one of the two pet dogs of former U.S President Barack Obama's family during his presidency. Sunny is a female Portuguese Water Dog who was also known as "First Dog of the United States" along with Bo, a male Portuguese Water Dog also owned by the Obama's.

During his 2008 campaign, Barack Obama promised his daughters, Sasha and Malia, a dog win or lose after the election. During his Grant Park victory speech, then President-Elect Obama said to his girls, “I love you both more than you can imagine. You have earned the puppy that is coming with us!”

Bo, a male Portuguese Water Dog, joined the Obama family at the White House in April 2009, and Sunny, a female Portuguese Water Dog, came along four years later in the August of 2013, being first introduced by First Lady Michelle Obama through her Twitter account.

Throughout Obama's 2 presidential terms, there have been very few minor incidents involving Sunny. In late 2013, at a Military family arts and crafts event, Sunny knocked over a 2-year-old girl while in front of Michelle Obama. However, the child was unharmed. In the January of 2017, Sunny reportedly bit a White House visitor, a teen friend of one of Obama's daughters, on the face, leaving a cut beneath the visitor's eye, which required stitches.
