The U.S. TV cartoon character who did not debut in a Hanna-Barbera animated series was "Clutch Cargo". It was an animated TV series that was produced by Cambria Productions. It became syndicated in March 1959. It had very limited animation with some very imaginative stories. It was a surprise hit at the time and could have been seen on 65 stations nationwide in 1960.

"Clutch Cargo" was created by Clark Haas, with major help from Richard Cotting, Hal Smith, Margaret Kerry, Emil Sitka. The focus is on adventures of a pilot who takes on dangerous assignments with his young ward Spinner and his pet dachshund Paddlefoot.

Augie Doggie and Doggie Daddy are Hanna-Barbera cartoon characters who debuted on "The Quick Draw McGraw Show" and later appeared in their own Western show. The show centered around the misadventures of a dachshund father-and-son team.

Ricochet Rabbit is the main character of the "Ricochet Rabbit & Droop-a-Long" cartoon series (1964–1966 ). On the show, a rabbit sheriff and his coyote deputy uphold the law in the Wild West town, Hoop 'n' Holler. The two Hanna-Barbera characters first appeared on "The Magilla Gorilla Show".

Race Bannon (Roger T. Bannon) is a special agent, bodyguard, and pilot from Intelligence One. After Dr. Quest's wife died, the US government hires Race to protect Dr. Quest and his son Johnny. Race was part of "Jonny Quest" (also known as "The Adventures of Jonny Quest"), an animated Hanna-Barbera TV science fiction action saga.
