Within both films, "Rebel Without A Cause" (1955) and "Giant" (1956) the actors James Dean, Sal Mineo, and Dennis Hopper were characters that helped to make these two films very successful. But in these movies, the actor Corey Allen only played a role in one of the films. He had no role in "Giant." Allen gave a strong acting performance in "Rebel Without A Cause."

As a depraved teen in "Rebel Without A Cause," Jim Stark (James Dean) is given a clean slate to start life over. He is the new kid in town and this brings some bad problems. While searching for some stability, Stark forms a bond with a disturbed classmate, Plato (Sal Mineo). And he also falls in love with a local girl, Judy (Natalie Wood). Judy is the girlfriend of neighborhood tough guy, Buzz (Corey Allen). When Buzz violently confronts Jim and challenges him to a drag race, Jim has new troubles to face. He will also encounter Dennis Hopper, who has his debut role as Goon, a teenage gang member in "Rebel Without a Cause."

With the movie, "Giant" (a western drama), wealthy Texas rancher Bick Benedict shakes things up. He comes home from a business trip. He has a new love, Leslie. Bick and Leslie get married; then she clashes with relatives. But, Leslie and Bick have a son Jordy (Dennis Hopper). Leslie also wins admiration from Jett Rink (James Dean), a handyman. Bick and Jett form a tense rivalry that cause sweeping drama. Angel Obregon II (Sal Mineo) is someone helped by Leslie. Life problems are created.
