Afghanistan won Independence on August 19th 1919 from United Kingdom.
India won Independence on August 15th 1947 from United Kingdom.
The Republic of Congo won full Independence from France in August 15th 1960.
Korea won its Independence on 15th August 1945.
Liechtenstein , the sixth smallest nation in the world celebrates its National Day to commemorate the country's Independence from German rule on August 15th.

Wow I agree with the others as Bahrain gained it’s independence on August 15 it’s NOT celebrated on that day! Where is the fact checking on these questions???

Tina Williams, in 1945 Korea won its independence from Japanese occupation at the end of WWII. Korea didn't become two separate countries until 1948.

Aug 19 is not aug 15 okay w that but how does Bahrain go from Dec to Aug ??? Just one more example of horse droppings questions being slipped by reviewers ,wake up and penalize the people who doing this ,it is a form of cheating .quiz club is no longer a fair game & cheaters should be punished in some way .who agrees ???
