Oh, William, will I ever be able to believe you again. The flowers in the photo are larkspur. BUT - All members of the Delphinium genus are toxic to humans and livestock. The common name "larkspur" is shared between perennial Delphinium species and annual species of the genus Consolida. P.S.: The flower for July is larkspur OR water lily.
