In England this is a sausage roll although the pastry is a bit suspect. Pigs in blankets are sausages wrapped in bacon.

In the UK, Pigs in blankets usually refers to cocktail sausages wrapped in bacon, if they are wrapped in pastry then they are sausage rolls, if in batter then battered sausages.

You must stop this BOT "Carol", as these are quite wrong. IHOP used to have "Pigs in Blankets" which were breakfast sausages wrapped in pancakes. In the U.K., they have "Toad in the Hole". I have never even HEARD of them being "accompanied by other items during the main course"! You can't use this one term to define "a variety of sausage based foods". Please rein in this BOT named "Carol", it's not even funny anymore...

Poorly worded question. In the US is a cocktail sausage (hotdog) in pastry is called a "pig in a blanket." In the UK, that concoction is, I believe, a "sausage roll," and a "pig-in-a-blanket" is a cocktail sausage rolled in bacon.
