Which of these is the 'The Six Day War' also known as?

The Six-Day War also known as the June War, 1967 Arab–Israeli War, or Third Arab–Israeli War, was fought between June 5 and 10, 1967 by Israel and the neighbouring states of Egypt (known at the time as the United Arab Republic), Jordan, and Syria.

Relations between Israel and its neighbours had never fully normalised following the 1948 Arab–Israeli War. In the period leading up to June 1967, tensions became dangerously heightened. Israel reiterated its 1950s statement that the closure of the straits of Tiran to its shipping would be a casus belli and in late May Nasser announced the straits would be closed to Israeli vessels. Egypt then mobilised its forces along its border with Israel, and on 5 June Israel launched what it claimed were a series of preemptive airstrikes against Egyptian airfields. Claims and counterclaims relating to this series of events are one of a number of controversies relating to the conflict.

I remember it well, because I participated in it. There were no "controversial issues" regarding who started the war. Egypt's president Gamal Abbdel Nasser wanted to wipe israel off the face of the Earth, and asked the UN forces to leave teh Sinai peninsula and closed the Tiran straits for ships bound to Israel, a cazus belli recognized in International law. King Hussein of Jordan was urged by Israel not to join tha attack but he refused and started to bombard West Jerusalem. Israel attacked the Egyptian Air Force as a pre-emptive strike, and the war was over in six days. Its consequences are still there, because King Hussein refused to take the West Bank (which Jordan annexed in 1950) back. It seems that the will to wipe israel off teh face of the earth is still there, otherwise the Palestinians would have agreed to some arrangement long time ago. (Recent good proposals were made in 2000 at Camp David and in 2008).

I know it happened in June. But i never heard or read anything but the 6 days wars when refering to this event .

Joseph A. Robitaille, The Yom Kippur War was in October, 1973, deliberately launched against Israel on the holiest day of the year for Jews. Yom Kippur is always in the northern hemisphere autumn.
