Dickie Noles was a MLB pitcher from 1979 to 1990. In 1987 Noles, a pitcher for the Chicago Cubs, was traded to the Detroit Tigers. The deal was to be for cash consideration or a player to be named later. About a month later, unable to agree on which player the Cubs should receive, he was sent back to the Cubs. In addition to the Cubs and Tigers he pitched for the Rangers, Phillies, Orioles and Indians. His lifetime record was 36 wins and 53 losses. He became one of four players who were traded for themselves. The other three are Harry Chiti, Indians-Mets-Indians, Brad Gulden, Yankees-Mariners-Yankees and John McDonald, Indians-Pirates-Indians..
